Red Rook Press
Founded in Fall 2022, Red Rook Press is an student-run publishing house within the University of Alabama. The press's mission is to bring diverse voices and stories to publishing from college student authors from around the world. After a year and a half of internal planning, the Special Projects Department is now an established within Red Rook Press.

Red Rook Press 2026 Launch Party
The spring of 2026, the Special Projects team produced their first publication "Bughouse" a zine featuring a collection of short stories and art by university students. Showcased this April in the annual Red Rook Press launch party, the zine is not yet available for purchase online.
